What are three tasty people’s foods never to give your dog?

There’s a reason dogs have earned the nickname: chowhounds. Many dogs investigate their worlds with their mouths. They will pop something in their mouth without thinking.

They need us to help them make safe food choices. That’s why you need to realize that not all foods safe for us to eat are safe for our canine pals.

The list of downright dangerous foods to dogs is large. And, headlining the list are these three surprising ones:

* Avocados
* Macadamia nuts
* Sugar-free peanut butter

Avocados are quite yummy and safe for us. I love a slice of avocado on my hamburger. But avocados contain persin. That’s persin. It’s a substance that can cause vomiting, diarrhea, pancreatitis, heart damage and even death in dogs.

Macadamia nuts are very pricey and delicious nuts. A visit to any of the Hawaiian Islands is not complete without enjoying Macadamia nuts. But to the canine body, eating these nuts can cause muscle tremors, vomiting and even paralysis. So, keep these nuts out of paw’s reach.

Here is a video with more information on these three human food no no’s.
