For some ingested toxins, it may be recommended that you induce vomiting in your pet. This is only to be done after being recommended by poison control or your vet. Before inducing, you should establish that your pet is conscious, not overly agitated or depressed, and is breathing normally. Give your pet one teaspoon of 3% hydrogen peroxide per ten pounds of body weight. This is easiest to administer with a syringe or turkey baster. After giving the dose, start transporting to a vet. Your pet should vomit within five minutes. If they do not, try again one more time. If they still have not vomited, your vet will have next steps once you arrive.
