If your pet has a fever they will have an elevated temperature, but unlike overheating, she will not feel hot or try to cool off. If your pet is shivering, cover them with a towel or blanket. It is very important, however, not to give your pet any medications such as acetaminophen or aspirin. In some cases these can be toxic to cats. Make sure to check your pet's vital signs and if they seem abnormal immediately seek veterinary care.
