19849_300052801318_4994061_n-1If you share your life with a black dog you already know the joys of your dark mysterious mate. Did you know black dogs are the most overlooked pups in shelters? In terms of branding, the black dog doesn’t catch the eye of the lighter colored, tan, red or white pups. Black is a harsh color and certainly avoided in advertising – but there is absolutely no reason you should avoid it in a dog.

Www.Dogtime.com  posted a wonderful blog celebrating the black dog. So if you share your life with one or are thinking of adding a new addition to your family – don’t walk by the pup at the shelter just because they didn’t catch your eye – stop because they will catch your heart.

As an owner of a pet care company, I have enjoyed sharing 14 years with many wonderful black dogs. While I celebrate them more often than just on this nationally recognized day, I wanted to share some of my darker doggie friends with you, enjoy!
