Heat stroke is an extreme elevation in body temperature caused by your dog or cat's inability to cool itself. It is important to recognize the symptoms in your pet because this could lead to organ damage. If you recognize the signs of early heat stroke which are: weakness, lethargy, persistent panting or temperature of over 105 degrees, you must begin cooling your pet immediately. Cool pet with water and transport to vet.
