My wife sent me a message a few minutes ago that Funko has officially announced their upcoming Pop! Pets line of vinyl figures. If you haven’t seen the Pop! Vinyl figures that they’ve been releasing for the past few years, you’ve been missing out on some really cool stuff. They seem to have licensed every movie or television show under the sun to make figures for, and even when you think they’ve finally done them all, they announce another show or movie that you might be excited about! I’ve got a load of my favorite characters from Star Wars, Ghostbusters and even The Karate Kid!
Now they’ve announced a new line that is sure to thrill lovers of dogs and/or cats! Certainly readers of this blog. Back in March they asked Funko fans to vote on which dog and cat breeds should be included in the first round of the Pop! Pets line, and they’ve just announced the winners!
The first series will include Siberian Husky, German Shepherd, Dachshund, French Bulldog, Labrador Retriever, Beagle, Maine Coon, Calico, and Siamese!
The Pop! Pets line releases in September, and Funko is going to make a contribution of $50,000 to the ASPCA as part of the launch, to help the ASPCA further their mission to help animals in need.
