Service dogs are very important companions to the people who have them. Their every day actions are life saving.
Because of a brain injury, Owen needs a service dog with him at all times. This made it very difficult for him to find a job. Lowe’s came through and not only hired him, but also allows him to have his dog, Blue, with him as well!
But don’t pet the dog, unless you ask first. Service dogs are working dogs, and petting them can distract them from their job.
You can find them welcoming guests at the entrance to the store in North Regina, Saskatchewan.
